My Weekend

My final project paper progress has been going well. I am 80% done with it. Just need to add a bit more content and a conclusion then I'm finished. I also have been setting up my paper in the format specified, APA.  Here is a helpful link on how to cite in APA correctly... APA Formatting and Style Guide. Aside from the paper I have been thinking up ideas on what to do for the final presentation. I am thinking of possibly creating a video for the presentation... not sure yet though.

Also, this weekend I went to the 2nd Annual Graduate Symposium. I was able to view various master thesis projects from people in the EMM program which gave me insight on what to do for mine since I will be taking the master thesis course soon. Lastly, I did some routine maintance to my car this weekend, an oil change. Overall, I had a pretty productive weekend.

For those of you who don't do your own oil changes and would like to learn how I found a neat video online that demonstrates the process. You save lots of money doing it yourself. :)

Memorial Day Catch Up

It is memorial day and I am currently doing some much needed catch up work. Progress with my final paper for GED 578 had been going well. I'm about to get mine peer reviewed for corrections/revisions. In doing my paper though I have learned a great deal on the topic of technology as a alternative learning space/technique and its uses towards teaching students with autism. There is a variety of resources available for teachers to use for autistic learners from interactive game DVDs to interactive computer programs rich in media elements with picture, movies, voice given feedback, and audible directive instruction. The topic is quite interesting to me and I am looking forward to sharing my findings with you all in the upcoming weeks.

Here are some relevant videos on my topic for you guys to watch...

My 1st post

Well, today was a good day. I made 2,000 dollars in the stock market... Unfortunately, I sold my BAC stock too soon. I could have made another grand but I played it safe and sold off my shares before the stress test results. Now the bank stocks are rallying in after market trading. I will definitely buy at the next pull back/dip opportunity. Hopefully it goes back down soon so I can buy in once again. Anyways, for those of you interested in making some decent money on the side but are not willing to risk your hard earned monies quite yet go to investopedia and sign up for a stock practice account. You will be able to play with fake money to get a feel for trading stock via day trading, swing trading, shorting stocks (betting against) to name a few trading strategies. Also, on this site you can read up on stock market terminology and learn the basics to get started. Once you feel confortable enough start your own trading account with etrade, tdameritrade, scottrade to name a few stock brokerages to choose from, fund your account and begin trading.

In regards to my GED 578 project I have decided on a topic finally. I will be going over it with Dr. Roby in approximately 10 minutes from now. I'll keep you guys posted on my project progress as I go on with it. For now I'm going to get ready for the video conference. TTYL everyone.
